"Acceptance is essential. Let's create a world where everyone feels valued and included"

My Story

I was born in Newton, Georgia. When I was two, my mother relocated the family to Newark, New Jersey. Growing up there, I knew I wanted to help those in need. When I graduated from High School, I set out to achieve my goals. I furthered my education by obtaining an associate's degree in criminal justice and a bachelor's degree in public administration, as well as pursuing theological studies.

I am the wife of an honorably retired Army Veteran; I have been affiliated with the military as an employee for over 46 years. Also, I am a proud mother of two adult children and a granddaughter. Who inspires me daily.

Currently, I work as a Site Coordinator for Communities In School, serving at the local High School. As an educator, I mentor and promote academic readiness to students for their upcoming college endeavors under the Region 12 and Upward Bound program.

In my previous position, I served over 20 years at the Killeen Independent School District. This position allowed me to become aware of the needs within our community. Concerns such as mental health issues and a sense of belonging encouraged me to be a foster care parent to over 150 children for over a decade.

I am an entrepreneur, minister, and an evangelist. I soar to achieve my goals by teaching, preaching, and receiving the word of God. I am an advocate for those who do not have the knowledge or resources to protect themselves.

I want to give special thanks to Dellah Fernandez, Rosa Velazquez, Mr. and Mrs. Burvato, Athenia Dorman, my daughter Ciani, and granddaughter Daejah.

(Isaiah 40:31)

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength ; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
